NEW CHILDREN'S BOOK ABOUT DEER HUNTING

Country Kid Publishing LLC announces the release of a new children’s book, My First Deer Hunt, by Curtis and Michael Waguespack. The picture book utilizes vivid color photography to illustrate a sneak peek inside the world of deer hunting. It is a perfect gift for beginning hunters, ages eight and under.

By blending fact and fiction, the descriptive text and expert photography introduces basic hunting skills in a simple and fun manner. The story’s young hunter joins Dad in the search for a big buck. Along the way, he learns to scout by noticing deer prints and droppings and other signs Dad teaches him. But when the young hunter spots a few does he gets too excited and scares them away. Will he and Dad ever find a big buck?

Curtis and Michael Waguespack are brothers who grew up near St. James, Missouri enjoying the Ozark woodlands as a playground. Curtis, the older of the brothers, has an accomplished hunting background. From a very young age he was out in the woods discovering what it took to have a successful hunt. Michael is an experienced elementary and outreach educator. He is currently earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing for children.
